I have three others that I never use because it's so much trouble and they don't work as well. This is worth the money. I sliced all the veggies for a salad in about one minute. Three thumbs up.

This nifty little gadget makes slicing and dicing super easy and quick. I was a bit apprehensive before ordering it, I but really like it. I can easily recommend it. Once set up, it's something that kids can do to help out in the kitchen too.

After figuring out how to use this mandolin, I find it is invaluable! I use it almost daily, it slices, dices, cuts my potatoes for different dishes I make, I never realized how good this would be when I ordered it. Now I wonder how anyone who cooks can do without one! And cleanup is a snap!

The best cooking tool! Sturdy construction and amazing sharp blades. I'm amazed. Now I make all my salads with pleasure for all my family. With this tool meetings with the relatives becomes tastier.

It is very easy to use. Figuring out the dials to make chips or fries was the hard part to me. But it didn't take long to figure out. I seem to have no problems with the amount of pressure to apply and thickness that others have reported. I threw out my old potato slicer as soon as I saw that this is by far the superior product. Cleaning isn't too hard and it comes with a little brush to get into the groves. It is kind of awkward to store, but they did their best in making the unit as compact as possible when not in use.

I love this thing. I've only made potato chips and fries (both baked) with it but it was so easy to use and I didn't cut myself which is way better than my previous experience with food slicers. Can't wait to try making apple slices for my dehydrator. The feeder was also bigger than I thought it would be so there was no problem getting normal sized potatoes in there. So a medium sized apple should fit just fine.

Fantastic for chopping and cutting chips, baking coleslaw etc without the need for getting heavy kitchen machines out. Very easy to clean.

Cuts the job time in half (pardon the pun)! While the chute is a little narrow for some whole vegetables, we use it mostly for small to mid-size potatoes to make hash browns, French fries, etc. It stores compactly and has suction cups on the bottom so it doesn't slide when it use. For cleaning, I give it a quick soak in hot water/soap right after use and use my sink's sprayer to get the rest. It comes with a little cleaning brush to hit those hard-to-reach spots if necessary.

This product is really working well for me. At first it looks intimidating. It took me a while to decide I should try to use it. The first try went perfectly. I had to cut small potatoes into thin slices. This did a fantastic job. The base is held firmly to the table top by suction and it is very easy to push the vegetables through the cutting edge. I highly recommend this device for cutting vegetables.

I have always hated using a standard mandolin. This one has dials for thickness and style of cut, no extra parts to lose.

I bought this slicer to replace a French fry cutter that broke. Right out of the box I used it to cut some cucumbers. It was so easy and fast! This is so much better than my mandolin slicer with three settings... thin, paper thin and see through thin. I LOVE the variety in settings. So far I've done cucumbers, potatoes, onions, carrots and cheese. Larger potatoes and onions do need cut in half, but that is a non issue for me. Soft cheese like cheddar didn't work as well as I hoped. Cleaning is a little tricky. Food pieces have a tendency to get caught in the blades. Turning each of the knobs while running it under water usually helps.

Purchased because my mother had a mandolin injury years ago trying to cut sweet potatoes. If you've tried to cut sweet potatoes you know they are super hard. This thing is so easy to use. Read the directions about using the dials. Takes a little force to start it off but then goes smoothly. My 86 yr ild mother can use it easily. We don't have to waste money on frozen french fries any longer.

Great design, easy to use. Unlike most mandolin cutters where the food moves across the blade, this one keeps the food in the feeder and the blade moves. More like using a knife
